Just tested @LagunaXIII's finds above... it works fine. Crystals can be edited in the 'achievement collection' area and Zenny/gold can be edited on stage select. Close CE BEFORE you go back to the main window and then you can save.

Yeah I've run into that too. I have a feeling whatever 'hooks' or anticheat they have is badly configured and just randomly picks up shit it shouldn't and crashes.

The sooner someone can find out a way to just gut it out completely the better.

psa on the crashing issue: a temp fix was found.
if *any* window is called "cheat engine" the game will crash on saving
if you can make a copy of cheat engine in a different folder, use a hex editor to rename it something else, then itll bypass the cheat engine script.
someone on the x dive mod discord made a fix. but im waiting for permission to share it.

You need to do the events. However, you need to be at level 60 to do them.
