cheat engine crashes dmc4se

hi i've been using cheat engine for a couple years now and lately I've been using it on dmc4se on steam. after i downloaded dmc5 i havent touched it in a couple days and when i went back to it all the cheat tables I've been using don't work anymore some crash the game and some give me a lua engine error. i tried reinstalling cheat engine, reinstalling the game multiple times and still the same error. one of the errors is when i use the tru quicksilver mod. it uses cheat engine and when i start it it pops up a lua engine tab saying Error:C stack overflow and Error:Failure determining what [[DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe+F23F38]+3834]+30means. im not sure what to do i tried googling all possible questions but nothing comes up.
