SpeedHack

Post by Kalas » Sun Mar 19, 2017 7:20 pm

I'm playing Empyrion and Space Engineers, they both have speed meter.

for example 5.0 m/s

If I wanted to look for that value when I walk/run, what type of scan should I do, float, double?

Is this the right way of finding player speed anyways?

I normally look at the coordinates then find what writes to them and some where in these functions is where you can find a movement speed multiplier, if one is not found then find a spot that you can add your own multiplier.

Hmm sounds complicated, thank you anyways :)

I'll try it out with some games, The Forest is not an issue as I know how to find x,y,z - I'll try with what accesses :P

To answer your original question, try searching for a float. Change the move speed somehow and increase/decrease accordingly. If nothing comes up, change it to ALL types and search. But, like Tim13 mentioned, the more common method across games is to find your x,y,z coordinates, find what accesses them, and trace the instructions that modify them. Hope that helps.
