1st time, need help

1st of all, sorry if this post is in the wrong place. normally i just cheat tables & am happy with them, but recently i bought singularity on sale & had never played it but the e99 cheat on the posted cheat table doesnt work. so after watching several youtube videos on how it SHOULD work (tracking down the e99/games money value) on the next scan its always blank. wtf am i doing wrong?
