I decided to dig around again to see if i could help with the whole string id thing. Seems there are two parts to it. There is the item type string: COS113_000_F. Then there is the ingame string index:ITM_Cos_079. That second index is used by a master string table used for all text in the game it seems. This then points to a proper item name string of Three-Piece Suit .
So in theory, if a master table of all items can be found, grab their proper id and translation id, then find a pointer to this master string table, it might be possible to make a proper item dumper script.
random bit of info from poking around the translation table: MIL_Title_UCR028_0280 = "My dearest partner"
edit: Finding a master table of items isnt working as expected so far
I can't help you with the specific string ID, sorry, but the way I find IDs is using the CE and the inventory editor--selecting items and locating it there. There is probably a more specific and accurate way of finding them but I don't personally have a need for it so I get by with the basics
For those trying to get item string ids, like pox911 said, the ids aren't static so they are likely different for everyone even across the same game version.
Last time I checked, even changing the game engine settings could affect the item string ids.
So the best way for now is to get someone else's save and load that save, find out what the item ids are with CE, write that down, then load your own save and apply.
