What I mean is when you need 200 Exp to level up Master Quartz, you add 199 exp to your total, do a random battle & level up. There is a problem with Master Quartez exp. While it is active when the exp for next level reaches 0 for Master Quartz level up the game bugs out and total exp goes into a minus and the Quartz will not get any more exp, stuck forever at level 1.
