If you look in my post, I mention that you can't replace an ability with one that has less characters in its code, for that exact reason. I've been having issues with editing the auto abilities. Certain ones, if you apply them to an ability, will cause the game to think the ability doesn't have any auto abilities, and will also mess up the ability so you can't add most other ones.
