Well-Being,
Wellness Wednesday
While sitting here on a beautiful evening in Boulder, CO, eating fresh greens that a friend has grown herself, sweet potatoes and organic chicken I am feeling very inspired and grateful.
Looking around to appreciate beauty is a choice, eating the best foods for my body is a choice and having a life with purpose is a choice. It does not just happen. I choose great, I choose to live my best every day because all we have is this moment, in this body. So what you choose to do now and how you take care of your sacred body will determine the outcome in your life.
Mediocrity has been a word on my mind a lot. That is because I watch people making mediocre choices for themselves every day. I call mediocre choices when people have the knowledge that they are doing something that causes harm to their well being and they do it anyway. I also call mediocrity when people choose not to learn the truth because that forces changes. So the result is low vitality levels, low energy, and lack of clarity, lack of purpose, high stress and eventually chronic illness.
When people talk about happiness they mention having the best job, having the best vacation, a better car, a great partner, etc. How will they attract great things when they are not choosing great for their own health? Aligning the 4 components of life: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual starts with our health and the way we feel about ourselves. Greatness does not come when we feel sluggish or when we feel like our head is in a fog all the time. When we are tired and stressed all the time, we cannot create great things. It is so simple and still so hard for others to understand this simple rule of nature.
This blog is really a cry for you to ask yourself some big questions. I want you to ask yourself if you feel energetic in the morning after feeding your body with the best nutrition, if you gift yourself with few breaks during the day to renew your mind and to feed your body, so you can go back to work with a fresh, clear and creative mind. Are you passionate about the life you are living?
There are so many wonderful ways to create a healthy life. First, love yourself. Nurture your body with great foods, rest and exercise. Take one day at the time, may greatness and love be all over you!
