Ale (pronounced A-léh) grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. While growing up, she had a strong affinity for moving the body with any type of sport that was presented to her. In high school and college, Ale pursued sports and fitness as a career path. She holds a BA in physical education, and went on to receive a Masters degree in Sports Training in 1995.
After college, Ale felt a pull to the United States. In 1996, knowing only a few words of English, she moved to San Diego, California to immerse herself in an English program at the University of California San Diego. In San Diego, Ale immediately felt at home with the numerous opportunities to engage in a wide range of outdoor activities. She became an avid runner, beach volleyball player, mountain biker, rock climber, backpacker, hiker, and skier. Grasping English quickly, Ale landed a job as a personal trainer in a nearby gym and continued to grow as a professional in the field while making San Diego her home for the next 5 years. In one of her many weekend getaways to see other parts of the United States, Ale discovered the outdoor enthusiasts paradise, Boulder, Colorado.
Within a very short period of time, Ale moved to Boulder where she has made her home for the last 10 years. Ale immersed herself in the physical training world of Boulder and due to the nature of the town was immediately introduced to numerous amateur and professional athletes. Feeling inspired by the energy surrounding her, Ale began to pursue higher levels of education, she became a stronger athlete, and she began to compete in cycling, mountain biking, and running.
Being a part of the healthy community of Boulder, Ale constantly feels inspired to find new ways to challenge her clients and motivate them to be their best. Ale believes that being fit means that one's physical, mental, and emotional bodies are all in alignment. In every workout, Ale encourages her clients to reach new levels of fitness by touching on each of these aspects.
